Collector questions. Clear answers.

What is KoreGemu?

A home for game collectors: identify games, understand sold-market evidence and manage a private Collection and Portfolio.

What is KoreGemu Market Value?

KoreGemu Market Value is based on the median of actually observed completed sales of comparable copies. It is evidence-based. The price achieved for an individual copy can vary with condition, completeness, region, timing and market conditions.

Where do values come from?

From observed completed marketplace sales, qualified against the selected game and platform. Asking prices are not sold prices.

What is a sold comparable?

An observed completed sale of a defensibly comparable copy. Unrelated games, wrong platforms, parts-only listings and uncertain accepted Best Offers are excluded.

Why median instead of average?

The median is the middle qualified price; for an even sample it is the mean of the two middle prices. Price outliers are filtered only with at least eight qualified sales.

Why might my sale differ?

Your copy, timing, buyer demand and market conditions can differ. A completed-sale observation does not prove final payment settlement or exclude a later refund.

How do region and completeness affect value?

They define the comparison pool. CIB requires evidence of completeness; loose copies are not mixed in. Compatible regional evidence is disclosed separately when exact regional evidence is insufficient. Sale geography does not prove release region.

What does confidence mean?

It describes the strength, size, consistency and specificity of the evidence, not a promise of a future sale price.

What happens with insufficient evidence?

No reliable value is shown. A missing value is not zero. A temporary data outage is labelled differently; any safe previous value keeps its real timestamp and stale warning.

What does CIB mean?

Complete in box: game, original packaging and manual where applicable. Missing parts must not be represented as complete.

How does physical condition work?

Mint, Near Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor or Not specified. Sealed/New is not automatically Mint. Broad source labels such as Used stay broad, with reduced specificity and confidence.

What do PAL and NTSC mean?

Historical video/release families, often associated with European, North American or Japanese releases. They are not the country where a sale happened.

Why can currency differ?

Sales retain their original currency. Current display and Portfolio presentation use CHF; conversion does not alter the original median.

Which exchange rate is used?

The latest valid published ECB reference rate. Its publication date is shown; weekends and holidays use the latest available publication, not an invented rate. Bank rates can differ.

What are Reference sales?

The qualified evidence behind the median: titles, dates, original prices and detected properties. The first ten are previews; Show all opens the full qualified set.

Why can an eBay search differ?

Different search wording, markets, dates and filters can return different listings. KoreGemu excludes unsupported product dimensions, duplicates and irrelevant listings; price outliers are only filtered from samples of at least eight qualified sales.

Is KoreGemu affiliated with eBay?

KoreGemu is an independent service and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by eBay. Market analysis may incorporate data from observed completed sales on third-party marketplaces, including eBay.

How private is my Collection?

Private by default. You choose profile, Collection, value and item visibility separately in Account. Private images remain owner-scoped.

How do public profiles work?

Choose a unique collector name and explicitly select public visibility. Preview it in Account; private settings are not made public automatically.

How does Portfolio work?

Its own page summarizes valued Collection items and coverage. Items without enough evidence are not counted as zero. Original values and FX context remain distinguishable.

How does Watchlist work?

Save releases and optional target prices to review alongside your Collection. Automated notifications are not part of the current live offer.

How does collector progress work?

Completed collector name, display name and bio: 10 XP. Collection milestones 1/10/25/50/100: 10 XP each. Two platforms: 15 XP; two generations: 15 XP. Every 100 XP adds a level. Persisted qualifying actions count once. Reputation is separate and not invented.

What is included in each plan?

Unlimited game search for everyone. A verified account is required for Market Value. Free: 5 distinct successful analyses per UTC calendar month, up to 3 used reference sales per valuation, 25 Collection items, Portfolio, Watchlist and profile/progress. Pro Collector: 300 analyses per month, full used and other relevant sales with exclusion explanations, unlimited Collection items, CHF 39.90/year incl. VAT.

What counts as one Market Value analysis?

One distinct successful selection of game/release, platform, region, edition, completeness, condition and grading. Repeating the identical selection in the same UTC month does not count again, including from Collection. Failed, ambiguous, no-comparable or insufficient-data searches do not count. The allowance resets at 00:00 UTC on the first day of each month. Portfolio and Collection page loads only show saved values; Refresh value explicitly requests an analysis.

Why are paid plans Swiss-only?

Paid launch currently supports Swiss billing addresses and Swiss tax treatment. Free remains internationally accessible.

How do I upgrade?

Verify your account email, open Plans, select Switzerland as billing country and choose Pro Collector. Payment details are entered securely at Stripe.

How do I cancel?

Use Manage subscription in Account. Ending renewal normally preserves access until the paid period ends; refunds or reversals can end access earlier.

How do I delete my account?

Use Delete account in Account, confirm your current password and type DELETE. End any subscription through the billing portal first; deletion becomes available after paid access ends. No support request is needed for normal deletion.

What remains after deletion?

Profile, handle, Collection, Watchlist, private media, preferences and sessions are removed. Required immutable invoices, refunds and accounting/audit evidence remain; the numeric account reference no longer points to a live profile. Other applicable rights can be requested from support.

How do refunds work?

Exceptional refund requests go to support. Approved refunds are reflected in subscription entitlement and immutable finance records; statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Why are Scan and Exchange hidden?

They are not part of the current commercial service. No paid plan promises them as active benefits.
